Bread

Bread is a staple of the traditional Galician diet. The most often used grain for making bread is wheat flour, although rye, barley, corn and rice flours are also used. “Gallego” (Galician) bread is typically made in large loaves; buns and baguettes are not native to the region. One of the special features of bread made in the province of Pontevedra is its high moisture content and the secret of our bread is in the use of Galician wheat.
